UW Geological Museum....I am excited to see our little man learn more and more and his interests grow and mature. When we got to the museum, he whispered a question to the host: How can Allosaurus and T-Rex not be the same? Meaning=how do you tell the difference between the two dinosaurs...both being carnivores with super sharp teeth that look a lot alike. One way is size but the other is the # of toes each has. We learned that Allosaurus has 3 and T-Rex has 4. Van first thought their difference was because one of them has bumps above his eyes and the other doesn't. I called them horns at first, mistakenly. He quickly corrected me and said, "they are not horns! They are two frills mama" (duh mom). | | | |
