With a birthday comes...

...homework? Well that's what Van says anyways. Here's his latest piece of homework...check out the awesome coloring (in the lines) and his name!!!

Dude Turns 4!

We had such a great celebration for Van! He wanted a shark birthday and we were thankful to have it at the pool :) The kids fished with magnets, swam like sharks (with shark hats), and ate cupcakes! We are so thankful to have so many loving people in our lives who shared their time (and traveled) to spend the day/weekend with us!  Van keeps asking, "Am I still 4?"

Vanism

Walking through the door and Van almost doesn't make it out in time. He looks at the door with that Irish glint and says, "Don't shut on me or I'll....I'll slam you!"

A Hike

Birthday Crafting

Van's sweet cousin turns 4 two days after he does! I was able to use some of the fun fabric that I got as a Christmas gift to make her a little bag. I hope she loves it :) I didn't know how to make handles so tied pieces together...any hints?

6th Anniversary

We had a great weekend celebrating our anniversary :)  We soaked in the hot springs in Thermopolis and fished...Brett even let me catch more fish than him!

My mom reminded me of this song that captured this rare event perfectly!

Now...gearing up for the big birthday party this weekend...Van will be turning 4!

Almost Spring

Our son, two dogs, a sleeping bag, and me
Heavy breaths pushing on my calves
Sweet, played-out breaths reaffirming on the palm of my hand
Outside, fire cracking, friends laughing
Inside, frost forming, breaths warming
Our son, two dogs, a sleeping bag, and me

One of his favorite games...try to find camo-boy!

Spring Fever

Since February is done and gone...and March is kind of like spring (wishful thinking)...and the little dude has been asking and asking about camping...we are going to give it a go!

Luckily, Brett and Shaun were able to scout things out recently and deemed the Miracle Mile (N. Platte) camping worthy (check the links below and you will see the ulterior motive become obvious)!  We will see how it goes....but being an optimist, ready to get out, and wanting to make Van happy, makes me excited!  We will stay dry and warm!

MAYBE I'LL CATCH THE BIG ONE! Van is thrilled to sleep in the bed of the truck (w/topper) and make s'mores. If it's too rough, we will head home but we will all feel better with fresh air in our lungs and brats in our bellies :)  Mom-Dad...you'll hear from us by Sunday evening...promise!

Fun!

Van loves getting mail and we love doing crafty stuff together! L sent us supplies to create a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" garland. Van gets to choose the tag and stick the letters on them, then we will tie them all together with lovely ribbon (one of Lezlie's favorite things), and hang to celebrate the beginning of his 4th year! Thank you :)
